Pleated skirt "Lene" - sewing pattern

Our pattern for the Lene pleated skirt is really a very special all-round talent. It has two deep box pleats in the front, which cheekily appear when you move and give the skirt a swinging, lively character. At the same time, however, it remains extremely comfortable thanks to the adjustable elastic waistband. There are no pleats in the back, so that nothing is bulky and the generally slim silhouette of the pleated skirt is not disturbed. The skirt itself is short and particularly suitable for warm days. Combined with tights, it can also be worn on cooler days.

Materials and ingredients:

  • woven fabric such as gabardine, poplin or twill for the skirt: 1 m (1.50 m wide)
  • similar fabric for the folds: 0.40 m
  • Elastic band (e.g. mesh elastic) for the waistband, 7 cm wide: 0.70 m - 0.84 m
  • Jersey: 0.20m
  • the waistband can alternatively be sewn from a wide elastic band
  • matching yarn
